Battery Modifications

Depending on the source of the battery for the camera it may be a slightly loose fit. Over severe bumps this may cause the battery to vibrate within the camera, causing a momentary loss of contact and the camera will turn off.

To fix this simply build up the side of the battery with a little electrical/insulation tape as the image below shows. Also make sure you make a little tab from the tape so you can remove the battery.

Make sure you use the rubber grip strip provided with the mounts to place on the back of the battery, this will ensure that there is no movement from the battery.

Microphone Modifications

To reduce the wind noise on the microphone glue the small patch of supplied fluff over the microphone holes at the front of the camera.

Use a very liquid glue so that it soaks into the fibres - superglue works great.
